Yes, we do have a record of our soldiers.
I found Peter in Ohio Township in the 1890 census , which is a record of soldiers, sailors and marines that served in the war. It shows them or their widows.. it is like a pension roll.
I do not find a record for George W in Ohio and will go back over the book again. I have it on CD . A young gentleman , Ohioroots, has done every county in Ohio as a CD in pdf form. So, it makes it easy to access and print out the actual page.
I will also look in the soldier discharge book that the genealogical society abstracted. If they are in there I can get you a copy of the original book, scan it and email it to you.
Just know that I am looking for it for you.

practice/requirement everywhere. If this was so in Gallia County where would I
write/contact to obtain copies of these recorded discharges.
I am particularly interested in Peter L and George W Cornell who served in
Company B, 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War.. They enlisted in
Aug. 1862. Peter was dicharged with a disability on May 14, 1863 and George with
a disability on Oct 14, 1863.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I do not live in the Gallia
County area so need to obtain via mail (or internet)...
Thank you
