Sharon, I put those Baltzell deeds in the mail today. Also, I found a
couple of interesting items in Clerk of Courts office. There were several
cases involving Daniel and Thomas Baltzell and Moses Gates, though not all
together. Most involved debts and bad notes of one kind or the other. But
I also found in Vol. L, p. 421 where William Ware, guardian of Harriet Ware,
sued Daniel Baltzell. 14 May 1840. Daniel owed a note made 20 Jun 1836 and
William wanted it for Harriet. Ware won 19.94 plus court costs. This made
me check guardianships for Wares and sure enough in Vol. D, p. 167, Probate
Court, William Ware was appointed guardian of Charles A., age 5, Margaret
M., age 3, Eliza Ware, age 17 years and Harriet Ware, age 14 years. Do you
suppose these were related to Margaret Ware Baltzell? 11 Mar 1834. This,
of course, is not your Margaret as she is only 3 but these are children of
John Ware and perhaps John and Margaret were siblings??? Henny
