People have been calling the society office wanting to know about our new publications. The Black Marriage of Gallia County and the 2006 Calendar of Scenes from Second Avenue of Gallipolis are the first two we have published.

The Historical Cookbook and a Book of Poems written by People from Gallia County, past and present will be out within the next two weeks.

We have a last and first name index of all the cemeteries in Gallia County, this is will be a great companion for those who have the cemetery books we have for sale, it will show which cemeteries and the township it is located that people are buried. Along with a Will Index Book II, these will be great help for those researching. These two book should be ready for sale in the next two months or possibly sooner.

There are also several other books that we will be announcing in the next several month that will be great research tools.

We had hoped to have the cookbook and poem books ready before Valentine day as they would have been great gifts. They will be great Mother's Day, anniversary or birthday gifts. We should have a price for these books within the next week or you can contact the Society office at 740-446-7200 or stop by the office at 410 Second Avenue, Gallipolis.

The society is very excited about all the new publications and all the people that are involved. If you live in Gallia County and would like to help with projects like these we would love to have you attend our meeting of the Genealogical Society next Tuesday at 7:00 at the society office on Second Avenue as Lisa stated in a previous post.
