Teresa,

If you will have access to an alphabetical list of the deaths, I'd
appreciate your checking to see if a (Mrs.) Clara HAMPTON is listed.
I found her brother, Harmon P. Stidger, who died in Columbus OH in
1926 and have his obituary. However, no mention was made of a sister
named "Clara" as a survivor so I have to presume she died before he
did.

I know she and her husband, Levi Hampton, moved to Jefferson Co. IOWA
after their 1875 marriage in Gallia Co. OH. He died there in 1882.
Her name disappeared from Iowa records shortly thereafter.

Since she was born in Ohio and had family there, I am presuming she
may have returned there after she was widowed. She was born c. 1858
in OH.
