Thank you for sending this poem. You can't imagine how surprised I was to find
it on the Geauga list. You see, My gggrandfather, Spencer Barrows, died in
Geauga Co. Two years ago my husband and I located his grave, and I had my picture
taken standing by the tombstone. For Christmas, I put together heritage
scrapbooks for my two children. On Spencer's page, I put this picture along with
this poem.. It gave my a warm feeling reading the poem again - for that is
exactly the feelings I had as I stood by his grave.
While I am writing, I want to tell anyone who is considering visiting Geauga Co.
to search for ancestors that they will meet the most gracious people who are
willing to help in anyway possible. I found a great amount of help in the
libraries there.
