In Huntsburg:
Samuel E. Clapp, son of Thomas and Lydia (Pomeroy), had children Lauria (?), Henrietta, Thomas in 1860 census. Living in the home with them was Adolphus Holloway, age 15, b. NY.
Joseph and Polly (Faunce) Scott took in a girl named Mary Holloway and raised her. In 1860 census she is with widow Polly in Israel Hughes household (just referred to as Mary A, but her complete name is in Joseph Scott's will).
Adolphus Holloway was in OH 41st Co.G in Civil War and later followed Scott relatives (Adolphus and C. C.) to Lafayette Co WI.
These people all had ties to Phelps, Ontario Co NY. A young Holloway family lived there in 1850 (Charles and Aldena, with children Gilbert, Adolphus and Mary). I think the children were sent in the early 1850's to live with relatives in Huntsburg after their parents died and am searching for some confirmation and additional information.
Joseph Scott may be related to J. W. and John G Scott of Geauga Co in the mid 1800's.
Any help will be much appreciated.
