I am hoping that someone on this list may have a little insight into
resources listing relocations to Geauga Co in the early 1830's. One
ancestor's, Stephen Colvin, first Geauga record is his marriage to Cynthia
Wells on 12/5/1831. I have, however, found another possible reference to him
in Lenawee/Monroes Counties Michigan for a time just prior to that. I'm
hoping to find some indication that migration between these Michigan counties
and Geauga was a somewhat established practice. If anyone knows any resource
which can help or has ancestors who followed a similar route, please let me
know. Establishing his presence in Michigan at that time can go a long way to
helping prove his lineage back. Thanks for any help. - Tim
