Seeking info about Philetus and Harriet (WOODARD) POTTER and family. Philetus POTTER was born 8 Apr 1817 in <NY> and died probably after 1849 in Fort Wayne, Allen, IN. He was the son of John POTTER born 31 May 1782 in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA & Phoebe BIRDSALL born 11 Jan 1782 in Dutchess, NY who had 8 children.

Philetus POTTER married 20 Oct 1838 in Munson, Geauga, OH, Harriet WOODARD born 1822 in VT and she died prob. aft 1849. Where did she die? She and Philetus POTTER had 5 sons and 1 daughter: Marshall, Sarah, Avis, Will, Elgie and Jay POTTER. I can't find where this family lived.

Were any of the following POTTERS related to Philetus?

POTTER married John Clothier HATHAWAY; Their daughter, Flora Belle HATHAWAY b 6 May 1869 in East Claridon, Geauga, OH d 11 Aug 1935 in Chardon, Geauga, OH married 1891 Lectrus Newell GROSVENOR b 7 Aug 1862 in Claridon, Geauga, OH. They had three children: Ruth GROSVENOR b 24 JUL 1892 in Claridon, Geauga, OH; Ralph Collings GROSVENOR b 1 May 1895 in Claridon, Geauga, OH; Theodoris GROSVENOR b 25 APR 1905 in Claridon, Geauga, OH.

I have ancestors and their relatives who lived in Geauga co, OH: POTTER, HAZEN, KELLOGG, BUTTON, LAMPMAN, HAYDEN, CARTER, etc of Geauga co, OH. My gr-gr-grandfather, Wilson WOODARD b 1821 < Sandgate, Bennington >, VT and his sister, Harriet WOODARD born 1822 in <Sandgate, Bennington> VT were 2 of the 12 children born to Abiram and Dinah WOODARD of Geauga co, OH. Jeanette GROSVENOR a genealogist in Geauga co, OH helped my cousin, Ruth (WOODARD) MAURER with a lot of the WOODARD genealogy. Is Jeannette GROSVENOR still doing genealogical research?
