Are there any active genealogists in Troy, Geauga, OH? My ggrandmothers
parents lived and died there. Asenath Conrad died on the first of
August, 1853 and her husband, George Conrad, died there on the 8th of
April, 1864. At the time of his death, he was living with his son,
George Jr. I am searching for an obit for them that might name their
parents or any other information that would help me learn about their
parents. I presume that there was a newspaper printed there that could
have obits for them. I don't know if they were members of a church
there, but there is a good chance that they did..

I'm also wondering if there is a Genealogical Soc. in the Troy area that
I could join. I believe there is a Geauga Co. Gen. Soc. that might be my
second option. If anyone can help me get in touch with either of those
groups, I would be very appreciative.
