In the History of Russell,Geauga County Ohio: (which was written by my
2nd great grandfather, Samuel Robinson) page 120:
"Soldiers from Russell in the War of the Great Rebellion, from 1861 to
1864": James Dines-killed; William Dines; Phillip Dines; Joseph Dines.
In the History of Geauga and Lake Counties, Ohio:
"Discharged from Company G": J. Dines for disability, December 31, 1862.
If you haven't already, go to usgenweb.com and go to the State Archives.
Tpye in Dines and chech Ohio and you will find loads of Dines. I think
it was 148 hits.
