Hi, I am wanting any info on my ggg uncle, Elijah Goodwin and his second wife, Marcia Melissa Bassett. He was born in Champaign CO., OH, 1807, lived most of his life in Indiana, and died probably in Chardon on Oct 7, 1879. I did find Marcia living with her sister, Fidelia Bassett, in Chardon in the 1880 census. Marcia died Feb 22, 1885 probably in Chardon. Both are listed on family reports I have as dying in Cleveland. But I think it is Chardon as that is where Marcia was in 1880. Marcia's mother was Eunice, and Marcia was married about 1850 to an Orson R. Colgrove. Marcia, Eunice, Fidelia, and Orson were all b. in NY. By 1860 Marcia and her mom and sister are in Chardon. Marcia and Elijah were major workers in the Disciples of Christ movement in Indiana/OH and other parts of the midwest. Can anyone help me? I am sure there are obits somewhere on these folks. Marcia's mom was with her on the 1870 census of Indianapolis, IN-- and she !
probably died after the census. Thanks for any info.
