I am looking for information on a Lemuel Purdy, I found him on the 1820 & 1830 census in Parkman, Geauga Co., Ohio. My ancestor is Winfield Scott Purdy, born 1832, in Ohio. I found him living next to two other Purdy's on the 1870 census, One is a Lemuel Purdy [I think he is Lemuel Junior], and a man by the name of Pitt Lawrence Purdy b. on Jan 23, 1834 he was born in Parkman, Geauga Co., Ohio. Are there any records for the early eighteen hundreds, if so how can I find them? There is also another women named Lucretia Purdy B. 1818 in Parkman, Geayga Co., Ohio. Lemuel was the only Purdy in Parkman on the 1820 and 1830 census. So I think he is the father to all four. But I just have to prove it.
