I have seen the Lambert name in an earlier church than that. I think likely
the old church that sat near the property which is now Fort Ancient in Warren
County. I think that was called Bethel but am not sure. I will keep this in
mind and let you know. Warren County Genealogy Society has recorded the
burials from these old churches. They are currently undergoing remodeling to
their offices because they are in the basement of the old Warren County
courthouse on Silver Street in Lebanon. I don't know how long before they
will get back into business. Keep in touch. Baptists usually did not become
baptist easily; they usually came from some other church and in this
case--likely one from an area that was settled earlier than this part of
Greene. mj
