Hi,
I believe you are correct.
But, it Robinson's History of Greene County, it states on page 296 that "Dean,
Adam, Xenia, 1840; father of Daniel A., who died in Chicago".
Also, Daniel A. Dean also married a Martha E. Lawrence, Nov. 20, 1855. I have
found no children of this marriage (doesn't mean there weren't any). But in
either case, Daniel A. Dean was born, according to Broadstone's History in
1818-1820, and based upon the 1850 Census he was born about 1819. He married
Sarah Stewart December 11, 1840 and then Martha Lawrence. He had 6 children
with Sarah Stewart, one of them being the Jane you mentioned b. abt 1843 based
upon the 1850 census. In the Xenia Torch-Light, it states, under George A.
Hutchinson's name, that he and Jennie Dean were married at the home of D.A.
Dean.
I have not come across any references to Adam Dean other than Robinson's. I
do believe that Daniel A. Dean was a son of Robert and Elizabeth Campbell Dean
(he being the oldest son of Daniel Dean, Sr.). They married 1/8/1818 in
Greene County, so he fits into the right time frame, their next child was
Samuel D. Dean born 9/4/1820.
Someone who knows more, I would also be interested to know to whom he - Daniel
A. Dean - really belongs.
Jennifer
