Because SPAM (ie junk e-mail) has become such a problem, the Rootsweb
staff has decided to require all lists to allow only subscribers to
post messages. What does this mean?

1. SPAM will be reduced to almost nothing on this list, because
unless someone subscribes to the list they can't post anything. If
someone subscribes and posts some SPAM, I will unsubscribe them.

That's the good part, here's the bad part.

2. You can only submit a message to the list using the exact e-mail
message you used to subscribe with. For instance if you used
to subscribe and used a variant of
that same address to post a message, say ,
your message will be bounced back. This can get very confusing for
people, particularly those new to e-mail, and the reason that I had
not used this option for SPAM prevention till now.

If you get a bounce you don't understand, forward the whole message
to me and I will try to help you.

PS Since the 'Unprivileged user <>' was not
subscribed to OHGREENE-L, the query express postings were being
bounced. I have added this address to the accept list so they should
be in the future. I have forwarded those messages that have bounced
to the list.
