Bonnie,

I went to the Greene Co.Library today and looked for the folks you asked
about. The 1900 Greene Co. census was not available on microfilm. As a matter
of fact, the census index book wasn't even available. Don't know if someone
was using them at the time or what, but I did find the 1920 Greene Co.
census:

1. No SPECKMANs were listed.
2. No Clarence A. SMITH was listed. There was a Maude SMITH but she was
listed as 12 years old and living at the Ohio Soldiers & Sailors Orphans
House, so this obviously is not the person you are looking for.
3. I did find Roy SMITH and family living in Spring Valley Twp:
SMITH, Roy Head age 31 b. Ohio Occupation - Farmer
SMITH, Blanch Wife age 26 b. Ohio Occupation - None
SMITH, James Son age 8 b. Ohio
SMITH, Marie Dau age 5 b. Ohio
SMITH, Gertrude Dau age 3 3/12 b. Ohio
SMITH, Glenna Dau age 6/12 b. Ohio

I believe Gertrude's age is really 3 years 3 months and Glenna's is 6 months.
