I realize that when people forward these kinds of messages they mean
well. But forwarding unfounded "alerts" only over loads the servers
that we all depend on.
A good rule is to check any virus "alert" that you receive before you
forward it to anyone. You can check at these websites:
http://www.truthorfiction.com/virus.htm
The truthorfiction.com website is an excellent source the check for any
"warning" type emails that you get.
There IS, however, a REAL virus warning that everyone should be aware
of; the email will read "new photos from my party!". To get more info
on this virus go to:

Number rule of thumb for protection from computer viruses: DON'T OPEN
ANY ATTACHMENTS FROM PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW. And, of course, invest in
anti-virus software. I did, and when I received the "my party" email,
it blocked the attachment. Well worth the investment!
