The ANDERSONs that I am researching were Quakers (formerly Nicolites) from
Kent Co, Delaware. The Samuel WILLIAMS who I'm also researching lived in
Greene Co, just over the border from Clark (where at least most of my
Andersons lived.) He is distantly connected to the Quaker ANDERSONs of
Clark Co.

James ANDERSON, b: Aug. 16, 1765, Kent Co, DE, married 1) Celia WRIGHT on
Jan. 4, 1792 and 2) Celia (CHILCUTT) VICKERS, on Sept. 12, 1829, Greenplain
MM, Clark Co, OH.

Thanks so much for answering and for your information. It's nice for both
of us to know about the 2 different Anderson families ... might save a lot
of confusion sometime. <g>

Hi Marsha,
Since the Greene/Clark Cty. line goes thru the area where our Andersons
lived (Clifton & Selma) it's possible we have some common ancestors. Our
earliest known Anderson is John, b. 1770 in Scotland, to Ohio 1821 (or
possibly 1824), married to Agnes Smith. They were the parents of 6 children,
including my ancestor David Anderson b. 1808, who married Julianna Stewart.
They were the parents of 13 children, including John Stewart Anderson, b.
1835, my great grandfather.

Were your ANDERSONs also from the Greene Co area ... particularly ca:
1820's? If so, can we compare notes? Thanks.
