Subject: [OHGREENE-L] William McIntosh/Ellen McDorman Downey McIntosh
Date: Wed, 28 Aug 2002 08:50:59 EDT
William McIntosh died in June 1870 in Beavercreek Twp. Greene Co. but his
obit does not mention a cemetery, only that "in his death, Greene county has
lost its oldest native-born citizen". I was lying awake thinking about this
last night and wondered if Ellen Jane McDorman Downey McIntosh could be
buried with William. So does anyone know where he is buried? This family has
ties in Clark, Madison and Ross Co. via way of the farms over lapping the
county lines. But William lived with Ellen on her first husband's farm on
Routsong Rd. in Beavercreek Twp which still stands. I have been told that
some Downey's are buried in a private (Matthew Quinn farm ???) area nearby
and then also in Byron Cemetery but the question is - is William McIntosh
there also? Could someone look at Byron Cemetery for me - I can't get to the
grocery and library in the same day and I don't have any Greene Co. cemetery
lists as I do for Preble. Thank you in advance. Linda Swaney Sabin
