Subject: [OHGREENE-L] HELP: HORNICK - Cemetery Records or Wills??
Date: Mon, 01 Sep 2003 12:36:47 -0400

I am trying to track down some information on the HORNICK family who
settled in Xenia, Greene Co., Ohio sometime in the early 1850s.
Specifically,
I am hoping to find cemetery records or wills for these individuals. I
believe
the family was Catholic, as one of Martin's sons, John Hornick (1826-1898)

was buried there.

The two families that I am most interested in are Martin Hornick and
Sebastian Hornick (see below). However, I would appreciate any leads.

The earliest member that I have found is Martin HORNICK (c.1793 - aft.
1860). He was living with his wife Elizabeth (c.1800 - aft 1860) in 1860
in
Xenia Twp. His children included: John, Sebastian, Margaret (sp. John
Schlett), Christian, Adam, and Catharine (sp. Jacob Glossinger).

Also, I am trying to locate cemetery and/or will information on Sebastian
Hornick (1829-1873). In 1870 he was living in Xenia Twp., Greene Co.
The 1870 census seems to list his name as Israel (but my copy was nearly
unreadable).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
