Subject: Ebenezer Cem.Knott/Albin/Mason - Arthritic Toe

It is a mystery to me how pain in one's toe can stimulate the hunt for
ancestors! Unless it is the Dr. asking "Did anyone in your family have arthritis?"
So I am sitting and searching. Here is what I found about the connection that I
think is with the Knott/Albin buried in Ebenezer Cemetery and the Mason
family. It is not complete but enough . . .
-- Had a note from Stacy about the 1850 Census of David A. Knott and Ann of
Clark Co., son - his name is spelled Remine and his brother Samuel J. Knott
names his son after this brother and in 1880 Census it is spelled Remine Stoffle
Knott as it is in 1920 when this young man marries in Clark Co. OH.
-- Samuel J. Knott is married to Mary J. Albin, 19 Jan 1865 by Clark Co.
Marriage Records
_ Thomas and Caroline Albin, buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, have an eight yr.
old granddaughter living with them in 1880 Census in Clarke co. named Ada Knott
b: MO
-- In 1870 Census - Elk Fork Twp, Pettis Co. Ionia (?) City MO - 4 4 Knott
David 24, Melinda 23 and 3 yr old Elene (?) and next door at 5 5 Knott, Samuel
28, Mary 28, Remine 4 David 3 and Mason, Charles 12.

This pushes us on to more searching and especially for the Mason family who
most certainly passed on and to why Remine Stoffle, Samuel's son was named
that. Was that Ann's maiden name or her mother's maiden name. We will get thru to
Spring and complete our family trees before Mother Nature does hers!
