I'm looking for any information on Peter S. Whitaker (b. 1793 in Chester
Co., PA or his brother, Obediah Whitaker, of the same birth county).
Obediah moved to Guernsey County around 1814 and Peter followed within
1 - 6 years. Both very likely were the children of William Whitaker and
Rachel Hoopes.
Peter married Catherine Bay in 1820 and the two had 12 children before
moving to Hancock County in the late 1840s.
Would love to share info with anyone who is researching these families.
