Seeking information on the Fogle lines in early Guernsey County. I have found a Jacob Urban who married a Susannah Fogle in 1828 in Guernsey County. This became pertinent when I discovered parts of Guernsey became Morgan county in 1829. I believe this to be the same Jacob Urban and Susannah (unknown) who were my ancestors and later are to be found in the 1850 Morgan County census in enoch township where he purchased land in 1834. This particular Jacob Urban was born circa 1797 in either Germany or Switzerland (he has claimed both on different censes). My Jacob and Susannah had at least thirteen children including a son Jacob, a son peter, a daughter phoebe and a daughter Walsetta. They can be found in the 1870 census in Muskingum county with their name spelt Urbean....but it is one and the same. Susannah has claimed birth in Ohio in various censes, but claims birth in Pennsylvania when listed on the 1870 census. This has been a very elusive family to trace, but if this !
is the correct Jacob Urban, I've finally got it "nailed". Any help or connections would be greatly appreciated, and I'd be happy to share my Urban info and leads. Thank you.
