NEW CONCORD — Betty June Patton, 83, of Oceanside, Calif., formerly of Rix Mills, died Saturday (Nov. 3, 2001) following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Yorkville, daughter of Lawrence M. and Gracia (Armitage) Sedgwick.

Mrs. Patton was a 1939 graduate of Muskingum College. She was a resident of Rix Mills during World War II.
She was a retired school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Patton, who was also a Muskingum College graduate.

She leaves a daughter, June E. Patton-Moyers M.D. of Winnsboro, Texas; two sons, Clark S. Patton of Escondido, Calif., and Matthew L. Patton of Fullerton, Calif.; two brothers, Charlres Sedgwick of Hixon, Tenn., and Lawrence Sedgwick Jr. of Haverhill, N.H.; a granddaughter, Jane E. Patton of Escondido, Calif.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord, with services to follow at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. Rollin Steele officiating.
Burial will be in New Concord Cemetery.
