Any Moore researchers who are researching in Guernsey? I sent a message to
the person at this address (), but it came back as
undeliverable. I tried making the "CO" lower case and sent it again. It
came back a second time.
I'm researching my Moore and Coon lines from Belmont County. I noticed
several Moore families on the 1850 Guernsey County census who were living
in Seneca (next to one another), and since Guernsey was once part of
Belmont, I thought I might find a connection. I'm looking for information
on Pearson Moore and wife Elizabeth, Aaron Moore and wife Hannah (maiden
name Coon - they were married in Belmont County), Emmanuel Moore and wife
Rachel and Benjamin Danford and wife Sarah. All four families were living
next to each other. The reason I put in Benjamin Danford is because a
Danford married into my Moore line, and I wondered if Sarah might be a Moore.
My Moore line originally came from Pennysvlania. My 5th great grandfather,
Tobias Moore, was actually born in Virginia, but his children, to include
my 4th great grandfather, Philip Moore, were born in Pennsylvania. Philip
married Nancy Coon on 10 February 1814 in Belmont County.
Aaron Moore who was 60 in 1850, which puts his birth about 1790. Who were
his parents? Were Pearson and Emmanuel his sons? Was Benjamin Danford's
wife, Sarah, a Moore and was she the daughter of Aaron and Hannah? Her
place of birth is listed as Pennsylvania on the census. Where were these
families in later years? Who were Joseph Harris (age 6) and Elizabeth
Boone (age 4) who were living with Aaron and Hannah in 1850? I don't think
they were children of Aaron and Hannah. If they were related, I think they
were grandchildren.
If you have any information at all on these individuals, I would be very
grateful. Thanks!
Cynthia
