On 4 July 2003 I listed a quiery with reference to my husbands great grand father Nicholas Pedman Delarue. who was born in Gernsey Islands abt. 1830.
We have considerable and growing information on him after his enlistment in the Union Army in 1860 at Ft. Leavenworth, KS. But nothing prior to that. Nor do we have anything about his family that may have been or are in the US or any where else for that matter.
He married Sarah Emiline Johnson Wilkins in Leavenworth, Kansas, USA
He was a blacksmith in the Army and later for the Osage Nation in Oklahoma Territory and later a business man in Coffyvile, Kansas, USA. They had a beautiful home and farm between Liberty and Coffyville, Kansas.
Grandma had a daughter by previous marriage and they had one, his grand mother Lodua Lola Delarue Baker..
If there is any connection to be made we would bend over backward to share, including pictures, military history, and Bio-history on them.
Joe has been against a "stone wall" on him for at least 20 years.
My Husbands name is Joe William Carmichael, who at 75 is the youngest grand child living, of Lodau Lola Delarue Baker.
Jo Saille Carmichael
