Harry Edward Moreland, aged 62 years, one of the best known residents of
Cambridge, died at 4:15 o'clock Monday morning at his home, 225 Dewey
Avenue, after an illness, of two years of pernicious anaemia.
For 40 years the deceased was employed with the S. A. Craig co. When this
company went out of business he accepted a position with the Johnson and
Rose Co., where he continued until his illness made it imperative that he
retire. Possessing an affable and friendly disposition, he enjoyed the
friendship and acquaintance of a large portion of the population of Guernsey
county.
He was born in Cambridge, June 5, 1866, the son of John and Mary Ann
Moreland, both deceased, the latter having passed away about four months
ago. Early in life he united with the M. P. Church and was a faithful and
consistent religious worker.
Mr. Moreland was unmarried and was a the eldest of a family of five
children, only one, Mrs. Will Phillips
of the home survives.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home Thursday afternoon at 2
o'clock by Dr. George H. Miller, pastor of the M. P. church. Interment will
be made at the city cemetery.
