Mrs. Maude Lemal Dies Suddenly
Death Comes As Woman Crosses Railroad Track Near Penna. Shops
Mrs. Maude Lemal, aged 39, of 1419 Campbell Avenue, wife of Emerson Lemal,
fell dead at 7 o'clock Monday evening as she was crossing a railroad track
near the Cambridge shops of the Pennsylvania railroad, in company with her
husband.
They were enroute to Wheeling avenue where they had planned to attend a
motion picture theater, and were taking a short cut to the business section
across the railroad yards. Suddenly Mrs. Lemal paused and complained that
she felt faint.
She turned to go back toward her home and fell, death resulting almost
instantly.
The body was taken to the Stevens & McCracken morgue where it was examined
by Coroner Robins of Buffalo, who pronounced death due to heart disease.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two children, Inez and
Augustine, both of the home; her father Alex Todd, of East Cambridge; three
sisters, Mrs. Ross Turner, Mrs. Claire Rubicam and Mrs. Edgar Mayberry, all
of Cambridge; and one brother Carl Todd, also of Cambridge. The deceased
was a member of the M. E. Church.
She was highly respected and her sudden death was a distinct shock to her
relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home, conducted by Rev. Forest
Hall, pastor of the Buffalo M. E. Church. Interment will be made at
Northwood cemetery.
