Regarding St. Joseph's and Holy Trinity Churches:
Holy Trinity was located at 5th and Barr in Cincinnati. The
congregation was organized in 1834 and the church was dedicated October
5, 1834. It was the first German Catholic parish and the second
Catholic parish in Cincinnati second only to St. Peter In Chains
Cathedral. Holy Trinity was closed in 1958.
As to the location of their records, I would contact the Chancery Office
of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, 100 E. 8th St.,
Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, (513) 421-3131. If they do not have the records
they will tell you who does. If they do have what you are interested in
it has been my experience that they will search them for you free of
charge.
There have been several churches by the name of St. Joseph in
Cincinnati.
St. Joseph at 745 Ezzard Charles Drive (in the West End), Cincinnati,
Ohio 45203, (513) 381-2126, was organized in 1846. It was organized by
the Germans. The original church stood for 112 years at Linn and Laurel
Sts. before it was torn down due to road widening. The new church was
dedicated in 1965. The parish is still in operation and the church
records would be located there.
St. Joseph at 25 East Harrison Ave., North Bend, Ohio 45052, (513)
941-3661, was organized in 1860. The parish is still in operation and
the church records would be located there.
St. Joseph of Nazareth at Liberty and Elm Sts. in Over-The-Rhine was
organized in 1914. The church was organized by the Hungarians. The
church was closed in 1963.
I hope this is helpful.
