Hello all my name is Cyndi Simpkins and I am looking for the family of a
Daniel Groff born Hamilton county 1836. Daniel fought in the civil war and
received a pension for wounds received at Gettysburg. Daniel walked to Perry
county after the war and married a woman named Mary Seals in 1875. Daniel
had a son named Thee from a marriage earlier to a woman name unknown who ran
off with another man after the war.
Daniels dath certificate cannot be located and we would love to find his
parents.
I have not been thru the 1850 census yet but I did notice some Groffs on the
First Family index for Hamilton co. Anybody researching this family?
