Jo,
You best bet for a birth record in 1832 is a church record of his baptrism.
The old records are often only in such church records. A number of
courthouse firs in 1800's have destroyed many records. There are some
recreated birht, mattiage and death records for Cinti. and hamilton County
available in reference book form at the public library (see below). Was his
family: Catholic, Lutheran, Reformed, Episcopal, Methodist, Reformed? All
of these churches have some form of records of baptisms, marriages,
deaths/funerals in Cincinnati.
The Pub;ic Library of Cinti. and Hamilton County, main branch has a huge
amount of genealogical info. The Library entrance is at 7th and Vine St. in
downtown Cinti. The History and Genealogy Dept is on 3rd. fl.
No local or US census for 1835. There are indexes and microfilm US census
records for 1830, 1840, etc., with good equipment for scanning film,
printing copies, etc. There are City Directories there.
Good luck, Bob
