I also had the same problem with a search in the Wisconsin search. However I
had a friend who lived in the area where the ggrandfather had his land, he
secured a copy of the land discription from the county and it had the land
patent # on it. I sent the application in with this patent # and received a
number of pages that was filled when he applied and secured that land patent.
He still does not show up when I ask by name, but if I put in the patent #
he shows up. I don't know why that is.
