LaVerne, The Historical Society at the old Union Station has the Barton
Maps of Cincinnati (If I remember the name correctly). These are large
plats of every parcel of Cincinnati drawn up for fire insurance purposes.
Underwriters would peruse these maps to determine what they would insure on
a given property. I was looking for an address on Elliott Street in
Arlington in 1904. I believe that these maps were updated constantly. It
was a huge undertaking. A volunteer at the Historical Society dragged these
out and showed them to us. VERY interesting! Might be worth a look. Bob S. CA
