I am trying to find my grandfather's brother (or his family) who was placed
for adoption. The birth certificate indicated that the birth took place at
"City Hospital" (f.k.a. Cincinnati General Hospital) now known as University
Hospital. The birth date was January 23, 1911. A different record about the
mother indicated that this particular child was placed with a family shortly
after birth.

My question is this, did any local orphanages facilitate adoptions at the old
City Hospital?

I have already checked with The Children's Home of Cincinnati, but they had
no information about this individual. University Hospital does not have any
information regarding this either.
