If you send me the name you are looking for, I'll see if it is in my platt
map of Cincinnati 1869. It gives the names of people and acreage and you can
see exactly where they lived.
From my 1869 Hamilton Co. Atlas, It looks like Storrs Township incorporated
Wards 35 ( Sedamsville area), Ward 29 (the main part of Storrs Township),
Part of Ward 30 and Ward 36.
Ward 30 includes the area around West Gest Street and there is Hatmaker,
Stabler, Storrs, St Michael and German St going E/W and intersecting Walker
Mill Road.
Ward 29 looks like it's the area Just SW of Ward 30.
Ward 35 is west of Ward 30. Ward 36 is directly north of Ward 35. Ward 34 is
SW of Ward 35.

Subject: [OHHAMILT] Storrs

In 1865 I have a document [Civil War] listing "Susan Dann, a resident of
Storrs, County of Hamilton....." requesting a pension as the mother of Henry
Dann.

I checked out the township map posted from 'Fords, History of Hamilton
County 1881' but did not find the township of Storrs listed altho it is
listed below the map [not 'clickable', tho, like the rest are]. I then went
to the book, History of Hamilton Co. that is on line and it said that
Riverside was part of Delhi and Storrs twps. I could find no other
references to Storrs in this book [but then I don't know if it is totally
on-line yet, either].

I guess my question is...
Is Storrs twp. the twp. that Cincinnati is in or by the time this
map was published in 1881 had Storrs twp. been incorporated into another
twp? Or is Cincinnati in Cincinnati twp? This family is listed in the
1870 census as being in Cincinnati, Ward 16, South 1/3. So, would this ward
in Cincinnati be considered STORRS or are these 2 different locations
indicating the family moved between 1865 at the time of the pension request
and the 1870 census??
