Surname: ALIG, KESSLER, HENNINGER, SCHUH, SCHOHL
-------------------------

Seek ancestors and descendants of Peter ALIG (b. ca. 1809) and Magdalena
KESSLER (b. ca. 1813), who arrived in New York on the ship, Southampton,
sailing from London on 18 July 1857, with two children, Magdalena ALIG
(b. ca. 1839) and John (Johann) ALIG (b. 11 June 1842). The family settled
in
Cincinnati, OH, where census records indicate that the family came from
Bavaria. There may have been a connection in Bavaria to the HENNINGER family,
for son John married Maria Theresa (Rose) HENNINGER, daughter of John HENNINGER
and Mary Ann SCHUH, both also from Bavaria, who had settled in nearby New
Alsace, Dearborn Co., IN. John ALIG and Rose HENNINGER later moved to Hamilton,
Butler Co., OH, and then to Dayton, OH. Magdalena ALIG married Jacob SCHOHL
and remained in Cincinnati.
