Hello Dennis,
White Oak is divided east through west between the townships of Green
and Colerain. The main roads in White Oak are Cheviot Road and Jessup Road.
To really confuse things, the first Post Office in the area was called
Creedville Post Office. It's postmaster Daniel Creed was Irish and wanted
to put one over on the predominately German settlers in the area who came up
with the name White Oak.
From the Colerain side, I have not read or heard much about the Schibi
Name, but I can tell you that on the Green Township side ( just 100 feet
from Colerian) is a business called Schibi Heating and Cooling. It has been
in business for several generations. You could contact them at : Schibi
Heating and Cooling
5025 Hubble Road
Cincinnati Oh 45247
(513)385-3344
There is also an Edward M. Schibi listed at the same address but with the
phone number 513-385-3345
Or you could contact the Green Township Historical Society
Attn: Paul Ruffing, President
3973 Grace Ave.
Cincinnati, Ohio 45248
Happy Hunting !
