I don't know if this will help you but here is what I found by looking
at a 1938/39 Dayton City Directory and a 1915, 1928/29 and a 1951
Cincinnati City Directory:

No Gagens at all in the 1938/39 Dayton Directory, but there are a lot of
Faulkners....19 of them. No George, but there is a G.O. Faulkner
traveling salesman who lived in Marion, Indiana. No Howard or Minnie
or Armita.

GAGENs in the 1915 Cincinnati City Directory:
Ervin C finisher Home: 2143 Hatmaker
Ethel bookbinder Home: 1113 Clark
Louisa dressmaker Home: 1113 Clark
Mrs. Minnie Home: 2346 Maryland Ave.
Mrs. Rose laundress Home: rear 1058 Cutter
Walter L. tailor Home: 2346 Maryland Ave.

FAULKNERs in the 1915 Cincinnati City Directory....more than 50! Here
are some of the names you mentioned:
George galvanizer Home: 1562 W. 6th
Howard M. superintendent 706 Burns

Other Faulkners listed at the above addresses:
Thomas laborer Home: 1562 W. 6th

A number of Faulkners are listed as living in Newport, KY and Ludlow, Ky.

the 1st names you mentioned. Quite a few listed as living in Covington,
Erlanger, Latonia and Newport KY.

<I am stuck on a particular line of my family and was wondering if anyone knew anything or had any suggestions of where to go next. My g-grandmother was Arminta (Minnie) Rose Faulkner, born around Sept 1866 in Kentucky, ,died Nov. 12, 1955 in Cincinnati. She married John Gagen Jr., ,born Jan 1858 or 1862 (we have conflicting documents) in Ohio and died June 23 1936 in Dayton Ohio. Minnie's father's name was George and she had a brother Howard married toMaggie and that is all the info I have about them. Family rumour says that George fought in the Civil War but I have no substantiating info on this. I would dearly love to get more info on the Faulkner line in particular. Cyndi>
