I made a copy of the Babe Lane obit you are looking for and will mail it to you, if you care to send me your address by private email..
Regarding Benjamin Lane, I did not find him in the 1997 newspapers, but rather there is a notice in the Monday, Jan. 1, 1996 Post. This is what it says about him: Benjamin Lane, 33, of Patriot, Ind. died Friday. Services 2 PM Tuesday at Fitch Denney Funeral Home, Laurenceburg, Ind. Visitation 1 to 2 PM Tuesday. Memorials to the family. That's all it says about him. I didn't know if he was the one you were looking for.
