I received the marriage record from 1856 of my gg-grandparents Ellen
Prout(Ireland) and Martin Menkhaus (U.S.). In the Diocesan record, St.
Joseph Church, were the names of the witnesses to the wedding.

The records now kept at the Diocesan Archives generally include the records
from the parishes in Cincinnati from their founding (1830's through 1850's
and later.)
