To anyone with knowledge of those buried in the Carpenters Run Cemetery (at
Plainfield and Cooper Rds in Blue Ash/Sycamore Twp. Hamilton County, OH),
please read! This cemetery is next to the Carpenters Run Baptist Church and also
referred to as the Pioneer Cemetery by people in the area.
To build a new road, graves are being moved and attempts to identify
the buried are being attempted by "city historians, archaeologists, and
anthropology students," genealogists are not mentioned! So maybe the work has
already been done by genealogists and they don't even know it. I'm hoping that by
giving them as much info as possilbe, it may reduce the amount of work on the
bodies. This cemetery dates to early 1800s and has at least 4 Revolutionary
War soldiers in it! Amy
