Ann,
I found the death notice for Charles Hedges for you.
It is a very poor copy, but as far as I can read it
reports the death on Thursday evening, May 12th, at 10
o'clock, of typhoid and lung fever, Charles Hedges,
age 49 years. Funeral Saturday morning in Hamilton,
Ohio. (Sioux City Iowa papers please copy.)

I looked for the notice for Matthew Hedges in the
Cincinnati Daily Times on March 17, 18 and 19, 1862
and could not find it.

I didn't have time to check for the other Mathew
Hedges, but will do so on my next trip to the library.
