Thanks so much for pointing this out! I knew (but had a brain cramp at the
time) that 1860 was not complete, but I didn't know about 1850! I've just
been merrily typing in the names and wondering why nothing came back. You

In case anyone has been misled as I was :-( by Ancestry saying there are
indexes for 1850 and 1860.... Here's what's available.
!850
Alabama
Arkansas
California
Connecticut
Delaware
D.C.
Florida
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
that's all the states that are indexed for 1850

User beware! Unless I haven't paid for something that is available. If
there is an index for the rest of the states for these years please let me
know,
I'm going blind searching just through Ohio!
