Dirk,

Do you know if he had a wife or children? Without some other family names to
connect to him, it's hard to know who might be the correct person, unless
you go by occupation. There are several spellings for MEYER / MYER / MEIER
and Anton / Antony / Anthony, etc.
I searched the 1880 index first and found some results that are close in age.

The 1900 census is the first one to give the immigration year.
The 1890 census was destroyed, but I will send you some Anton MEYERs
from the 1881 and 1890 City Directory for examination.
