Dear Listers,

I have been reading communications regarding First
Families. Sorry for my delayed response as I have
been out of town.

I do not claim to be able to answer all questions, but
did become a committee member of First Families of
Ham. Co. last year and worked on the examination and
approval of applicants last year. Documentation is
examined by two committee members before acceptance.

Regarding the files of approved applicants--I believe
all the files are kept at the Hyde Park branch of
Public Library but are not open to public. They are
simply serving as a repository of these files and are
only accessable to committee.

If anyone is serious about becoming a member, and
believes they would need information from previous
members' file on a given ancestor, I will see what I
can do to assist that.

The committee has been inactive since last year's
Awards/Luncheon in October. However, I will do what I
can to be of help.
