Hi Tom,
Thanks for writing. It was after 1880 that I lost Matthew Dill. I found him and his son, George Dill, living in Crosby Twp in Hamilton County, OH, in 1900, on a farm I believe. And after that, George moved to Butler County, OH, and got married. But I don't know what ever happened to this father, Matthew. Oh, how I wish now that I had been curious enough when George, my grandfather, was still alive to question him about his parents. I never ever heard their names mentioned while my parents and my grandparents were still alive. Guess that is what is fascinating about genealogy ... you feel like a dectective searching for any clue you can find. What a thrill it is when you find what you were looking for, huh?
Thanks again,
Barbara in Indianapolis
