Charles,
For death records before December, 1908, your best bet is to contact the
Blagen Library on the University of Cincinnati campus, archives and rare
books department, P O Box 210113, Cincinnati, OH 45221 513 / 556-1959.
The state of Ohio didn't start issuing a "death certificate" until after
late December, 1908. Birth and death records before then are now found in
that library.
