Ann,

Go to: http://www.jungclas.com/gensite/hamilton/hamresou/church.htm
"Cincinnati, OH and Hamilton County -Church Records." The web site
owner has alphabetically listed a large number of churches, including
Wesley Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church along with their corresponding
LDS microfilm records. It's a wonderful resource.

Wesley Chapel was an old (1829-1985?) church located on 5th St. downtown
that once stood next to the old Fontbonne (residence for young women)
and the (Catholic) Fenwick Club. These buildings were situated directly
across the street from the Shriner's (Club?). When Procter & Gamble
decided to build its international HQ downtown they bought up a number
of city blocks including the one with the Wesley Chapel which was
destroyed in the process. I don't know why no one chose to move the
structure and re-build it elsewhere. I was too young to "care" but my
mother was horrified.
