My ancestor, James McClellan/d, remarried abt. 1821-2-3,
in Hamilton County, to Elizabeth Marshall. They jointly
filed a Petition for her "dower rights" in 1821 and this
was granted by the Probate Ct. of Ham. Co. in 1823. I am
thus assuming James and Elizabeth might have married around
1820. He and his first wife, Ann Wilson, had 10 children
and lived in the Springdale area prior to 1800. James died
in 1831 when Elizabeth then filed for a "widow's allowance"
which was granted. I believe she died abt. 1834 when
Probate records show an administrator was appointed.

Would someone have the Early Marriage Records for Hamilton
Co. and look for both James and Elizabeth's marriage and a
possible earlier marriage for Elizabeth ??? to ???
Marshall.

Thank you.
