Looking for the parents of John Shinkle described below. also need info on
those parents --would like to have documented info too.

1860 Knobnoster, Johnson County MO Fed. census done on 28 July, 1860 shows
following:
Shinkle, John 48 m Carpenter b. OHIO
Lydia 39 f b. OHIO
F. M. 17 m b. IL
Lafayette 15 m b. IL
Charles S. 8 m b. IL
Martha J 5 f b. IL
Laura 1 f b. MO
Mary A. Alexander age 12 (no description) b, IL
P. M. Rau-- or Ram--- age 19 daylaborer

I believe this F. M. Shinkle, age 17 b. IL is Francis Marion Shinkle who is
the father of 6 children, only one of whom survived to adulthood,married and
had ancestors. That one child is Christopher Solomon Shinkle , b. 12 Jan 1870
in Knobnoster Johnson Co MO. He died 19 Nov 1951 in Warrensburg, Johnson Co,
MO of Leukemia and is buried in Liberty cem., Warrensburg, Johnson Co MO. I
knew this man personally as he was the father of my stepfather Marion Clifton
Shinkle b. 1 March 1917 in Johnson Co MO. Christopher S. Shinkle died of
leukemia as did my step father, another brother , and the son of another brother.
Christopher S. Shinkle had a first marriage to Minnie B. Jackson with two
sons Roy b 1890 and Frank b. 1895. Christopher's second marriage was to
Pearl Pauline Narron who was the mother of 6 other children-my stepfathes
siblings.

Francis Marion Shinkle died 20 Feb 1920 in Johnson Co MO and is buried in
Foster Cem, Warrensburg, Johnson Co MO. He was married on 25 Oct 1866 to Rebeca
Jane Mulkey(d.15 Feb 1920) who had a dtr- Rose Victoria Mulkey b. 10 April
1861 -by a marriage to John W. Mulkey ,we think he was a cousin. Rebecca
Jane and Francis Marion has following children in addition to Christopher Solomon
Shinkle : George W., b/d1867; Lula G., b/d1869; Willie b/d in 1873--they are
all buried in Foster Cem. Two more children , unidentified, were born and
prob. died young also. Rebecca was dtr of
Joseph Mulkey and Elender "Nellie" Parsons.

1880 Simpson Twp, Johnson Co MO, census says Rebecca's age is 39 ???
Listed with the family is her dtr Victoria Mulkey; and their son Christopher
Shinkle .

1900 Census Simpson Twp Johnson Co MO shows F. M. Shinkle head, w,m, b. 5 Oct
1840 IL age 59; married 34 yrs. . father b. OH mother b. MD. On here also are
Rebecca J. -wife, w,f, b.20 April 1838 in MO - both parents b. KY; m 34
yrs. Had 7 children(maybe one is Rose Fictoria Mulkey?) in this marriage only 1
living in 1900. (that would be Christopher Solomon Shinkle-- but I only have
six ch. b. and him living) Edward, grandson age 17; Christopher S. -son - age
30, and his two sons Roy W. b. 1895 and Frank b. 1898 (children of Chris and
Minnie B. Jackson Shinkle who d. 5 April 1900 before this census).
